Meal of the Month! - May 2012

When you have loads of time you are not sure how you can spend it but when you don't have time you have so much to do! That doesn't even make sense does it?? Well, been crazy busy these days so missing my old blogger days :(



Thank you for all your lovely entries to the event - Meal of the Month!. I have finally managed to post the round up for last month. Some very tempting menus I must say....Check it out :)

Our first meal is a simple 'working - woman friendly' menu which is a combination of easy yet delicious dishes, from Ramya @ Ramya's Recipe:

Breakfast: 
Rava Idli: Lazy to cook yet craving for a good breakfast? Try these simple and wholesome idlis made from semolina.



 
Lunch: 
Chicken Biryani: How about this awesome flavourful biryani for lunch?
Dessert: 
Double ka Meetha: The Indian version of a yummy bread pudding...will definitely leave you yearning for more!
Dinner:
Egg Kothu Porotta: Tired? Don't worry...try this quick and filling dish right from the streets of South India!

Chef Mireille @ Global Creations brings us yet another exciting menu. Her main flavour for this month is pumpkin!

Breakfast:
Shakshuka: As different as the name, this is a quick dish inspired from Israeli cuisine - eggs cooked in a tangy tomato sauce. Yumm!




Lunch:
Pumpkin Casserole: A heartwarming dish...perfect for a filling lunch on a sunny day.
  
Dinner:
Pumpkin Curry & Sadha Roti: Caribbean style pumpkin curry with the simple Indian roti. Truly a global creation!
 
Dessert:
Banana Mango Tarts: And reward yourself for all the efforts of the day with this delicious and fruity dessert. Must try!

Shobha @ Food Mazaa brings us this 'mazedaar' meal from the royal cuisine of Hyderabad!

Breakfast:
Uggani: A quick and breezy dish made from puffed rice. Perfect way to start your busy day.
 
Lunch:
Shahi Hyderabadi Biryani with Mirchi ka Salan: Give yourself a royal treat with this flavourful Shahi mutton biryani served with raita and lip smacking Mirchi ka Salan!
 
Dinner:
Dum Ka Murg: Satisfy your hunger pangs with this delightful chicken curry cooked in 'dum' - slowly cooked on a low flame and a dough sealed container to release some amazing flavours!! Serve it with your favourite roti or paratha.
Dessert:
Sweet Bread Coins: Finish off with this scrumptious dessert made with bread and milk 'mawa'. So delicious!!

My tummy is growling writing this post...I am sure all these tempting dishes have triggered the switch for my hunger pangs. And here I am craving for these delightful meals :D Keep it coming guys.
